There is a message that preachers hardly preach these days. If you attend ten churches on a sunday, you may not hear anything about the coming of Christ and how prepared we should be. In the scriptures above, Christ said that his coming is imminent so we should hold on to what we have so that no one would take our crown.
It is possible to have laboured in the Lord for years and miss it towards the end. The truth you have accepted and convinced about should not be thrown into the garbage. There are crowns in heaven for victorious saints; those that make it to heaven will surely wear their crown but those that do not would have their crowns given to someone else as inferred from the opening text.
Let's not joke with eternity, there is a life after life that is endless. Eternity is two-sided, hell and heaven. You can shun hell so as to gain heaven. If you don't have Jesus in your life, I want you to invite him into your life right now by praying this prayer:
Dear father, I confess Jesus Christ as my Lord and personal saviour, wash my sins with the blood of Jesus and write my name in the book of life In Jesus name.
