Acts23:12 The next morning a group of Jews got together and bound themselves with an oath not to eat or drink until they had killed Paul. NLT
During the apostolic ministry of Paul, he faced a lot of persecution and his fellow Jews wanted to kill him. They didn't stop there, they decided to bound themselves with oath of dry fasting until they kill Paul. Hope you know that wicked people also fast to bring down God's Children? Yes they do, and that was what they did in the case of Paul.
Dr D.K. Olukoya told a story about how witches decided to fast in one of the South African countries. Their aim was to scatter christian homes and make men of God fall into immorality. They fasted for 201 days whereas the Christians were busy doing love feasts. After the fast, one of the pastors who had the largest church divorced his wife and married his wife's best friend.
There is what we call evil oath and when you don't stand-up against it, the wicked ones will finish you. Today, I'll advise you not to feast when you should be fasting. The world around you is very wicked especially in Africa but great is our God. Our victory can only be enforced by faith warfare demonstrated in prayers. Stand-up today and combat every evil oath over your life.
Father, evil oath taken because of me to bring me down shall not see the light of the day In Jesus name.
