JOHN 19:30

March 10, 2015 · Lanre Oyeleke · 2 views

John19:30-"When he had received the drink, Jesus said, "It is finished." With that, he biwed his head and gave up his spirit.

When Jesus was about to die on the cross, he made a very simple statement but with deep meaning. He was in pain and the burden of carrying the sins of the entire human race was an agonizing experience. On the cross, everything that stood opposed to us especially in the law was nailed to the cross and today we are free.

When he was about to die, he said 'It is finished'. What was it that finished? The dispensation of the law and the curse of the law finished and hence, we were ushered into the dispensation of grace. Under grace, sin, sickness and Satan can no longer be our master because that era has finished. If the devil knew that the death of Jesus would wreck havoc to his kingdom, he wouldn't have allowed Jesus to be killed.

The devil was foolish to have allowed Jesus to die but praise be to God. If Jesus hadn't died, we would be under the rulership of the devil. Everything and anything that is messing-up your life was nailed to the cross and I want you to declare today that an end has come to all of those things. Tell sickness, poverty, barreness, joblessness and misery that IT IS FINISHED.

Action point

CONFESSION: - I am done with the era of misery and miserable life. Pain, sin, sickness, barreness& joblessness, it is over between us today. I enter into the glorious liberty of God's sons In Jesus Name. Amen.
