1Pet3:15- "... And if someone asks about your Christian hope, always be ready to explain it. (16) But do this in a gentle and respectful way. Keep your conscience clear. Then if people speak against you, they will be ashamed when they see what a good life you live because you belong to Christ. NLT
One day while travelling from Lagos to Edo state in Nigeria, I preached in the bus and I experienced a funny opposition to my message. In most cases, when i preach in the bus, people will just listen and some will respond to the call of salvation but it was as if my co-traveller was ready to unpreach all I've preached but thank God I answered calmly even though I cant remember if I led anyone to Christ that day.
Do you know that when some people go preaching, they end up quarreling with their would-be convert? They start-up arguments they cannot finish and their response to questions is rash and impulsive. Apostle Peter has an advise for you and he said: always be ready to explain it( about your faith) but do this in a gentle and respectful way.
When you are sharing your faith, be ready for opposition but handle it with all gentleness. Don't throw the gospel at people, share it with them. God has not sent us to win arguments neither has he sent us to condemn or judge people. God's desire is that all will come to the knowledge of his saving grace.
I receive grace for fruitful evangelism In Jesus Name. Amen.
