John20:21- Again he said, "peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I am sending you.".
When Jesus was about leaving the earth, he told his disciples that he was sending them in the same way his father sent him. His disciples worked with him, ate with him and saw all that God did through him but how was he commissioned by God to do those mighty works? There is a need for us to know how Jesus did the works of God that he did.
In the first place, before he was born, the prophets of old prophesied about what his purpose on earth would be. When he came on the scene, he keyed into that purpose but before he launched out, God had to prepare and process him for 30years for a ministry of 3 1/2 years. When he was at the verge of starting, he fasted 40days. The summary of it all is that he was processed by God.
After all these, he was anointed with the HolyGhost&power and he went about doing good(Acts10:38). For you to do what he did and more, you must be processed by God and trained. A sense of call doesn't mean you should rush out, allow God to process you. Jesus was a messenger with a message, with a training&empowerment for his assignment. That is how he was sent by God.
Father, make me and mould me to become the kind of minister you want me to be In Jesus name.
