1John3:2 Dear friends, we are already God's children, but he has not yet shown us what we will be like when Christ appears. But we do know that we will be like him, for we will see him as he really is. NLT
There has been a continuous argument about the believer being made perfect like Christ. Well, I don't intend to dispel arguments but to share the little I know about becoming like Christ and being made perfect. The scripture has answers to every question and can settle contentions because God's word is settled in heaven forever and ever.
The scripture above makes it clear that we shall be exactly like Christ when we see him. For now, we are walking and striving daily to be like him. There's an on-going battle with the flesh, temptations from within and without but that day is coming when we shall be totally like our master.
The Spirit of God has been sent to help us on daily basis in our walk with Christ but there shall be a consumation of our perfection on the day that he comes. It shall be a glorious day when Jesus appears to take us home. The longing of every believer is desire that day and strive to make it.
That hymn writer said ' A wonder our transport when Jesus we see'.
I receive the grace to wait patiently in holiness for his appearing In Jesus name.
