AT THE THRONE OF GRACE

March 06, 2015 · Lanre Oyeleke · 2 views

Heb4: 16 Let us then approach God's throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. NLT

There are believers that have been struggling to get answers to their prayers for years. Some have become a prayer project because they miss out or do not have certain fundamental understanding on how to get result. The bible told us where to go when we need help but many believers go to the wrong place. I've been a victim before.

The throne of grace is the only place where you can find help and get answers to prayers. The man that sits on that throne is Christ because he is grace personified. The other throne is the throne of self-righteousness. At that throne, people brag about how well they can pray, fast or live a righteous life than the others. Don't get me wrong, all these are good but they are not reason enough to brag on God.

The throne of grace is the place of humility in prayer where you know that without God and him alone, you are nothing. Stop displaying your trophies, you can't impress God more than what Christ did on the cross by dying for me and you. Simply attune yourself to what Christ has done for you on the cross and use that platform for your request because you can't outdo Christ.

Action point

CONFESSION: - Father, I come to the throne of grace and I request for(....mention what you want), because of the finished work of Christ on the cross for me not because of what I've done. Father , thank you because it is done, In Jesus name.
