Acts1:1 In my first book I told you, Theophilus, about everything Jesus began to do and teach. NLT
I once read an article about hypocrisy. The writer opined that the major problem most Christian leaders face is hypocrisy. Some find it easy to preach the truth they don't practice thereby making them Pharisaic. You may not agree with that writer but I concur with him totally because most leaders aren't who we see them to be in private. A preacher can be soft-spoken and gentle but he may be a wife beater at home.
My wife once challenged me for something she never expected of me. She was surprised and I knew that I have no where to hide so my life has to portray what I preach. We were told that 'Jesus began to do and to teach'. The doing came before the teaching. These days, most leaders teach before they do what they teach.
What you teach or preach must stem from your personal walk and doings. I pity preachers that download another man's revelation and preach it as if the revelation originates from them. It may be sweet in your mouth but you still cannot impart the knowledge of that revelation like the man whom God gave it to. The Jesus-kind of leader will do first and then teach. That is true leadership
Jesus began to do and to teach, can that be said of you?
Father, I receive grace to be an exemplary leader In Jesus name. Amen.
