THE PRAYER THAT WORKS

June 06, 2015 · Lanre Oyeleke · 2 views

Jer1:12 Then said the Lord unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it.

In a conversation, God asked prophet Jeremiah what he saw, he answered by saying he saw the rod of an almond tree. God told him that he saw well and that he watches over his word to perform it. The only thing God performs is his word not our cry or worries. That means when we pray a word-less prayer, God is not committed to giving an answer.

Word-based prayers is the only prayer that can touch heaven and discomfit hell. When you were a baby Christian, God in his mercy gave answers to any prayer you prayed but as you grow, he wants you to pray in the bible way. You need to get to a point whereby each of your prayer points are rooted in the scriptures. In fact, you cannot say you have faith when there's no scripture as the basis of your faith.

It is not enough to pray with the scriptures but you must put faith in that scripture. Some pray with scriptures but they don't believe the scripture they have prayed. A true prayer of faith is rooted in God's word and it works. I've heard some say 'a fellow died having faith'. That's ridiculous because it is another way of saying God's word didn't work but God's word works when applied properly.

Praying with relevant scriptures produces relevant answers.

Action point

Father, I receive grace to pray word-based prayers henceforth In Jesus name. Amen
