Proverbs11:13 A talebearer revealeth secrets: but he that is of a faithful spirit concealeth the matter.
I read a piece online about three pastors. They were revealing to themselves their secrets. One of them said, 'he's been committing adultery', the other pastor said 'he's been stealing church funds', the third pastor cried and the other pastors wondered why he was crying. He told them that his weakness was that he doesn't know how to keep secrets. They all felt bad because they know he would expose them.
Sometimes, people may come to you for help by revealing their deepest secrets to you, when someone reveals to you a secret, it becomes a trust. Some have lost good relationships because they don't know how to manage one. They scattered a relationship that would have helped them later in life because they cannot keep secrets.
Some church folks gossip with spiritual slangs like 'may God help Sis J.' Their listener would ask why. That's the beginning of tales by moonlight. God cannot use you as a solution to people's problems if you can't keep sealed-lips. You must cultivate a faithful spirit, a life that can be trusted with secrets, pray for people with issues and counsel them without making it public.
Dear father, I receive grace to cultivate a faithful spirit In Jesus name. Amen
