AFTER MISSIOLOGICAL CLOSURE

June 27, 2015 · Lanre Oyeleke · 2 views

Matthew24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

Years back, a man said the world would

Cease to exist on a certain date that he gave but nothing happened. Some sold their properties and started living piously awaiting the final day but here we are, nothing has happened. Jesus himself made it clear that no man knows the hour of his coming except his father in heaven, not even him nor angels.

Did Jesus give us any clue about when the end will come? Well, the only clue he gave was that the end won't come until the gospel is preached in all nations of the earth. When the gospel is preached in all nations of the earth and there are indigenous churches planted in all cultures of the world, that is what we call missiological closure( meaning that all missionary activity would end). Billions of people in the world are yet to hear about Christ.

We can hasten his coming by reaching the unreached by involving in missions. In Nigeria, there are 81 people group(cultures&dialects) that haven't heard about Jesus. I want the end to come so that we can reign with Christ. Let's arise and spread the knowledge of God's glory throughout the earth so that the end can come.

Action point

Father, I receive grace to be fully involved in reaching the unreach by going, giving and groaning in prayers in Jesus name.
