John 14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. NIV
One message that has not received due emphasis in some circles is the message about the coming of Jesus Christ to rapture the saints. A preacher once insinuated that the message of end time happenings is not the focus of his ministry but Jesus spoke extensively about his coming in the gospels though he used parables most times and i believe that we should preach the message of our master. The coming of Christ would happen unannounced, only God the father knows the time and hour, Mark13:32.
Apostle Paul shared his revelation about the coming of Christ at rapture. The arch angel of God shall blow the trumpet and those that have slept in Christ shall rise to meet the Lord in the air together with those that are alive, 1Cor15:51-53. That's a mystery science cannot explain. If you have lost a loved one who knew the Lord, you need not mourn like those without hope. There shall be a reunion some day. The message about Christ's coming should encourage us and not scare us, 1Thess4:16-18.
In my early years as a believer, any time we hear the message of rapture or end time, we would be scared. Apostle Paul is saying it should be an encouragement to those of us serving God with all our hearts. After travelling out of my base for days, my wife and children should be happy that i'm coming back. A true believer in Christ should be joyful hearing this kind of message. We should be glad to hear that our work will not be in vain and pay day is coming but for the sinners and unbelievers, it shall be the beginning of many woes. Are you prepared for the coming of Christ or you're just living your life anyhow? If heaven is not your focus as a believer, i wonder what it would be.
Father, i receive the grace to live ready for your coming In Jesus name.
