1Cor2:9 However, as it is written: " No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him"-(10) but God has revealed it to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.
THE LOVE FACTOR
When you read the opening text, Apostle Paul told us that God has planned something great for those that love Him. The great things God has in plan for those that love Him are veiled but can only be unveiled by the Spirit of God. The Holy Spirit is the revealer of divine secrets, plans and agenda of heaven but He would only do that to those that love God. Loving God is a crucial factor in gaining access to divine secrets.
Having settled that in your mind, we need to ask ourselves what it means to love God. You see, i have heard several people say: "I love God" even when they've acted ungodly. There are songs i call 'Christian blues'. If you weren't told that those song were composed by a Christian for the purpose of worshipping God, you'll be tempted to think it is another regular love song. We can only get the true meaning of what it is to love God by looking into the bible not by how we feel or what people say.
In John14:15, Jesus said:"If you love Me, keep My commandments.” Loving God is proven by obedience to His word and nothing else. It is practically impossible to say 'i love God' and keep doing what He hates. The man that will enjoy access to divine secrets must be a true lover in action not just in words. Have you ever wondered why you don't hear God and receive from Him clearly? Check your love life with God. Before Jesus commanded us to love our neighbour, He told us to love God first, why? It becomes easier to love our neighbour like Christ if we love God the bible way.
