Let me address ministers of the gospel in this piece. Back in the days, radio, television, tapes, vcd/ DVD were the means of projecting our messages and they worked fine though expensive.
Today, all you need is data and a good media team. Then, you can post on all social media platforms like instagram, youtube, facebook, X and so on. It is cheaper these days and one can reach a wider audience today than before because the world is on social media.
However, this advantage is not without its abuse by ministers and ministries. Just as individuals abuse the use of social media, I can say that ministers and ministries are not left out. Sometimes, I know it is not the ministers themselves but their media team yet we need to caution them.
For me as a person, I don't see any reason why a preacher will be going to the place of private prayer either mountain or his room with a media team. Is that how Jesus prayed? The world doesn't need to see you when going to pray. It makes no sense.
Jesus says( Matthew 6:6), "But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you".
How come we are going to the place of prayer with camera as ministers? Everything should not be for the camera. The privilege to meet that top minister should not be for clout chasing and name dropping. True impartation&encounters cannot be captured by the media.
Imagine Elisha went with a media team when he wanted to get double portion of power from Elijah. His focus will be on posture and camera focus but he will not catch that mantle of Elijah that parted Jordan. Somewhow, too much focus on media makes us miss the mantle.
Let me also warn some who operate in the prophetic. It is not every word of knowledge/wisdom you capture on camera.
For instance, God is revealing a woman who committed paternity fraud/ adultery to you, you called her out for everyone to see and livestreamed it. If her husband is watching, that might be the end of her marriage. God doesn't reveal to destroy/ shame, he reveals to redeem. There are wiser ways to go about it.
Somethings should not be for the gram. Not all deliverance or miracles. Sometimes, projecting certain prophecies/ testimonies might put you in big trouble. There are times you need to tell your media team to shut down for the moment so that certain things will not be captured.
If you are gifted in the miraculous but you like to show everything on media, some people will not come to you because they don't want their identity revealed to the world for their own privacy. This way, you might lose important people that might be of help to your ministry.
You need some maturity in the exercise of your gifts and what you project to the world. Your concern with media should be to spread the word and point people to Christ not you. We don't need to see your convoy of cars and police escort. Why show your suit, shoe, shirt and blings? It makes no sense.
