LET YOUR HEART AGREE WITH YOUR MOUTH: HOW CONFESSION TURNS INTO REALITY

October 12, 2026 · Lanre Oyeleke · 12 views

*Romans 10:10*: > _"For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."_

Confession is like a cheque. Faith in the heart is like the signature. A cheque with a large amount written on it but without a genuine signature, it is a worthless paper in the bank. Many are writing big confessions (big amount) but their heart has not signed it with belief. Until the heart signs it, heaven will not cash it.

There are so many believers in the confession "business". Some even type it and carry it around like a magical charm. They are confessing but not becoming. They shout "I am rich! I am healed! I am blessed!" but their heart is whispering "You are lying. You are sick. You are broke."

*When your mouth and your heart are saying two different things, nothing happens. Confession only becomes reality when your heart agrees with your mouth*.

> _"This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me." - Matthew 15:8_

_You can deceive men with your mouth, but you cannot deceive God with your heart. If your heart is full of fear while your mouth is full of faith, your fear will cancel your faith._

For example, you confess "I will not die but live" but your heart has already written its will because of a doctor's report. The heart is the engine, the mouth is the loudspeaker. A loudspeaker without an engine is just noise. To make your heart agree with your confession, do the following.

*1. Feed Your Heart Until It Believes:*

Your heart will only agree with what it is full of. You cannot believe for healing if your heart is full of symptoms. Fill your heart with the Word.

> _"Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly..." - Colossians 3:16_

If you want to confess prosperity, soak your heart in scriptures about provision until your heart is more convinced of God's provision than your bank alert.

*2. Stop Confessing What You Have Not Settled:*

Don't confess to impress. Confess to become. Go to God in secret and settle it: "Lord, I choose to believe Your Word above what I see." Let your heart be convicted first, then your mouth will speak with power.

*3. Speak From Conviction, Not Pressure:*

When your heart agrees, your confession changes tone. It is no longer shouting to convince yourself; it becomes a calm declaration of what you know is true.

> _"We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak." - 2 Corinthians 4:13_

Believe in the heart comes before speaking.

Today, before you confess, check your heart. Do I truly believe this? If not, go back to the Word, pray, and let God convince your heart. When your heart nods in agreement, your mouth will speak and heaven will move.

Action point

Father, help my heart to agree with Your Word. Remove doubt and fear from my heart. Let my confession come from deep conviction, not empty words. Let Your Word become reality i
