Jose Mourinho rose to stardom as a coach because of his mastery of an uncommon defensive tactics and formation. The press nick named that defensive tactics 'parking the bus'.  

In almost all the teams he coached, he had solid defense and he converted some of his attackers into defensive midfielders and his attacking mid fielders attacked and defended at the same time.

I doubt If any other coach has been able to imitate that tactics successfully. It worked so well during the time he was coaching. He won by attacking and advancing towards his opponent but he maintained victory by defending.

There is something to learn from that tactics. When we win souls, do outreaches and reach the unreached, we are advancing the kingdom. That's like going to the opponent's box to score a goal. However, to avoid losing the victory,  we must defend well.

We do this by thorough discipleship,  teaching and training in righteousness. There is so much emphasis on advancing the kingdom,  that's good but we must also defend the fruits of our advancement.

So many souls have been won but only a few are standing. Sometimes, when I look at the numbers of souls that were won in our city wide crusades as declared,  by now almost everyone should be a Christian and the number of sinners should have reduced.

We may have advanced the kingdom well but we need to defend the kingdom very well. As a believer, you're the product of kingdom advancement but you need to submit yourself for discipleship.

The key to your spiritual growth is when you stay under sound biblical teaching of the scriptures and apply them. The devil doesn't feel he has lost totally when a soul is won. He knows  that he can recover his loss when the soul is not properly discipled to follow Christ. That's why we teach in our ministry.
