Psalms126:1 When the Lord turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream. KJV
Those days when we were young, I love action films. Those were days when we watched films from VHS cassettes. We watched those films mostly with neighbours. Only the rich could afford cable t. v. In my neighbourhood, the hero in every action film was called 'actor' while the villain was called 'boss'. And we have a slogan those days. We'll say: 'Actor no dey die for film'. That means the hero doesn't die in the film. You are the Zion of God. You are the actor in God's film that will not die until victory is achieved. You may have been beaten and battered by the troubles of life but I'm glad to tell you that God will surely turn your sorrows into Joy.
I love the opening verse of today's text. It reads: 'WHEN the Lord turned again the captivity of Zion'. The opening text didn't say: 'IF the Lord turned again the captivity of Zion'. If the bible had used 'IF', that mean the turning of Zion's captivity is conditional and not certain but here it is clear that Zion's captivity shall be turned again because the scriptures used 'when'. I agree with scriptures on the matter that you will experience a divine turn around that will surprise everyone. Kirk Franklin said: 'Trouble days don't last always'.
Your troubles are meant to bake you and not to break you. If only you can see the reason why God permitted that challenge, you will quit worrying. I am certain that as long God is alive, victory is sure. God is leveling your mountains and making your crooked path straight. There's an appointed time for the turning of that captivity, wait for it. Everything has expiry date even this earth and the present heaven except God's word(Matthew24:35). If the earth shall expire some day, all your troubles will surely expire at the appointed time. God's word must prevail.
CONFESSION: I am the actor in God's action film that will conquer. God is directing my life and making it the envy of all. My testimony shall be an earth-shaking testimony. All my challenges shall expire and I'll come out victorious in Jesus name.
