UNDERSTANDING SEEDTIME AND HARVEST Pt. 6

December 22, 2019 · Lanre Oyeleke · 2 views

Prov 11:24 There is one who scatters, and increases yet more. There is one who withholds more than is appropriate, but gains poverty.

HARVESTING TRUE WEALTH (B)

Now, it would be good I mention the issue of money seed before this series of teaching is over. After engaging in a legitimate job and staying diligent on the job, the proceeds from that job contains two things: a seed and the harvest. As a matter of fact, everytime money comes into your hand, you're holding a seed and a harvest together. You must be wise to differentiate one from the other.

Giving is living. Based on the principle of sowing and reaping, it is a must that when you sow money seed, you must reap the harvest. God doesn't like misers. For God to bring expansion your way, you must let go what is in your hands. Giving your money is a proof that you have conquered greed. One thing about greedy people is that they always want to get all they can and sit on the can. The opening text says that there's a man that scatters(gives), and increases yet more. There's another man that withholds more than is appropriate, but gains poverty. The demon behind poverty doesn't like when people give because that is one of the ways to open the door of abundant blessings. In fact, the principle of giving and receiving is universal. So many unbelievers also believe it works that's why they give.

Paul prayed for the Philipian church that God would supply all their needs (Phil4:19) because they supported his ministry with their finances. You cannot claim supernatural provisions until you do what the Philipian church did(Phil4:15). What did they do? They gave. Those that have made money their god would find it hard to give what is in their hands. Stop being miserly. In Acts10:1-4, Cornelius prayed and gave, the angel told him that his prayers and giving had come up to God. Though an unbeliever, but because of his generousity, salvation entered his household and they were baptized in the Spirit. Don't let preachers put you under pressure, sow quality money seed in church, to a ministry that is involved in the great commission, to the poor, less privileged and to genuine servants of God.

Action point

Father, I receive the grace to be a giver In Jesus name. Amen
