MARITAL SEEDS
A woman who was a victim of battery reported her husband to her Pastor. The Pastor discovered that the woman was facing much troubles in her marriage because she cannot bridle her tongue. The Pastor told her that when her husband is angry, she should put a broom stick in her mouth and keep shut. The Pastor promised her that he would be praying along with her. The woman did as advised. After several weeks, the husband noticed that his wife wasn't as aggressive as she had always been and she seemed to have controlled her tongue. This man changed his behaviour towards his wife and their home became peaceful.
The woman rushed to the Pastor's office to report the transformation that took place in her home. She thanked the Pastor for praying along with her. The Pastor told her that he didn't pray but what brought about the change was a simple character adjustment. She's been sowing the wrong seeds all along but a change of seed resulted into a different harvest. There are many homes in marital crisis today because someone isn't sowing the right seeds. The Bible's prescription for a happy home is for the man to always sow the seed of love while the woman should keep sowing the seed of submission(Eph5:22-26). Love may not yield a good result on time likewise submission but on the principle of seedtime and harvest, it would produce result in the long run.
I have seen prayerful and worded believers go through needless marital crisis. If prayer and ability to quote scriptures is enough to maintain peace in a home, some believers shouldn't have crisis in their marriage. The opposite is what we see today because the homes of some anointed preachers are breaking apart. Your marriage will only produce for you the kinds of seeds you sow into it.There's no magic about it. Husbands, sow love into your wife, and reap a happy home. Every woman want to be loved. Wives, sow submission into the life of your husband and reap dignity. Men want to be respected. To avoid crisis, sow the seed of patience and understanding. What you sow into your marriage is what you'll get from it.
Father, I receive the grace to sow the right seeds into my marriage in Jesus name
