TO CHANGE YOUR THINKING
The Israelites had serious mindset problem because of the years spent in slavery. They were the beloved of God, chosen and sanctified but slavery made them to see themselves less. God needed to take them through the wilderness for a mindset laundering and reset. The mindset of every man is powerful. God saw that and He decided to help them through it because they cannot think like conquerors under slavery. Even in the wilderness, they murmured against God. It is normal for a slave to murmur because he has a mindset that makes him feel disadvantaged.
The wilderness was the place for that change of mindset. For you as a believer, you need to start thinking bible thoughts,you need to see yourself as a new creation that you are. How you see yourself is very crucial in winning life's battles. The only tool for this mindset reconfiguration is the word of God(Rom12:1-3). The wilderness season is the time God want you to cultivate the habit of studying God's word.
The mindset of Egypt will wreck you in Canaan. There's a new life in your promised land and it requires a new thinking. From our thoughts proceed our words. If you think like someone that is defeated, you are defeated already. What did God call you? The Bible made it clear that you are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus(2Cor5:17-21). It says you're more than conqueror, it says you're an overcomer(1John5:4). Start thinking and talking like this. Your life will experience a turn around.
