Proverbs 14:23-24 All hard work brings a profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty . The wealth of the wise is their crown, but the folly of fools yields folly.
HARVESTING TRUE WEALTH (A)
The most popular aspect of seedtime and harvest teaching has always been about wealth creation. Even though we know that there's more to the subject but we would have to clear the air on certain misconceptions. There's an age long belief that wealth answers only to giving. This is common among church folks. Some preachers have milked their members dry by emphasizing this aspect. They preach about miracle money. Though I believe in giving and I teach people to give but that's not all there is to wealth creation.
Before giving comes WORK. I doubt if it is right to place a demand on a lazy man to give. If a man is not working, how will he give? There are many lazy folks around waiting for special miracle money to fall on them like ripe cherries instead of going to work. Beware of those that want to get rich without working. Before God will bless a man, work must be in place. God promised to bless the work of our hands. True wealth is not sudden, it is built over time.
As an aside, that you sow the seed of money doesn't necessarily mean you'll get money in return. The offering plate is not a money vending machine. God may choose to bless you in other areas. The first seed you need to sow in your quest for wealth is the seed of profitable work. You can't replace fasting and prayer with work. If unbelievers work and they're diligent, they can make wealth. It is a principle that cut across faiths.
Father, I receive the grace to be engaged in profitable work In Jesus name
