SEEDS OF SPIRITUAL GROWTH
I have seen many believers that desire to grow spiritually. They want to know the scriptures like John Stott and be spiritual like Billy Graham of blessed memory. They want to operate in the supernatural like Benny Hinn, have the faith of late Smith Wigglesworth and be a revivalist like Charles Finney of blessed memory . I have been privileged to talk to people who desire spiritual growth severally.
Desire is not enough. I'm yet to see desires produce result without taking the right action. To grow spiritually, you must sow the seeds of prayer, fasting and word study(including edifying books) consistently. You must be under a structured discipleship process. I'm yet to see a spiritual man or woman who boycotted this process. The flesh would begin to give way for the latent power resident in your spirit to manifest when you commit yourself to the aforementioned.
God himself want you to come up higher in your walk with him. He want you to have deeper knowledge and be sensitive to his move per time. However, this won't happen until you apply yourself the demands. Make it a daily habit to sow the right seeds into your spiritual life.
Father, I receive the grace to sow the right seeds into my spiritual life.
