Psalm 42:1 As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God. KJV

KOINONIA 102

The Greek word 'Koinonia' simply mean fellowship or communion. It speaks of a deeper level of relationship between a people. This is not just an occasIonal relationship but a 24 hours 7 days in a week affair. It is life-long. When Zion is in the University of wilderness, Koinonia is a compulsory course he must take. God is seeking for a relationship with you. This relationship is not just a surface-level relationship but something deeper. David wrote some Psalms when he was running from Saul. Some of those Psalms speaks of knowing God deeper and fellowshiping with him. He must have taken 'Koinonia' course during his wilderness experience.

I have discovered that most believers do not have a consistent devotional life not until when they pass through the storms of life. Someone told me about a man who became prayerful during his ordeal. He began to wake up at night to pray. You see, most times, we don't get close to God not until we pass through the wilderness. When Jesus was led to the wilderness, it was not just for him to be tempted alone but to spend quality time with God in fasting and prayer. His assignment must be backed by a strong and virile prayer life.

It doesn't cost God anything to launch you into your promised land. God doesn't want you to be a seeker of benefits but to be a friend to the giver of benefits through fellowship. It is only on the platform of a sound fellowship with God that you can receive the strength to sustain your desired victory. It also affords you the opportunity of hearing from God. You will need direction as you go on in life. The heart of David was knitted with God in fellowship to a point where he said: 'my soul panteth after thee'. We all need to get to that level where everything about us would desire God's presence. God is looking for whom to relate with not just a miracle seeker.

Action point

Father, I receive the grace to cultivate a virile fellowship with you In Jesus name.
