Luke12:21 “Yes, a person is a fool to store up earthly wealth but not have a rich relationship with God.” NLT
Recently, the media was awash with a lot of revelations about missing funds from government's coffers. Some of the stolen monies were in millions of naira, millions of dollars and billions of dollars. One would ask what an individual want to do with all that money, to buy the whole world? Those indicted cannot spend all they stole in their life time.
When you make greedy gains your priority, you are the real fool the bible was referring to. If you don't have a deep relationship with Jesus while you treasure your business contacts, friends and earthly relationships more than that of the master, you are the real fool. You maybe rich in money and properties but in God's sight you are poor.
This is a call to repentance. Earthly wealth cannot buy you a status with God. You don't bribe God by giving offerings and tithes from stolen monies. Let's have a change of heart and pursue after righteousness.
Father, I receive grace for a deeper relationship with you In Jesus name.
