1Tim1:12 I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has given me strength to do his work. He considered me trustworthy and appointed me to serve him, NLT
I gave my life to Jesus in a classroom fellowship and I caught the fire of the gospel. Later on, due to lack of proper discipleship, I backslided and I dabbled into dirty vices some of which surprised those that knew me previously. One of my cousins once said that my life would be worse when I enter the university because he didn't see a man that could be used by God.
All along, God was interested in restoring me back to fellowship with him, he arranged events and happenings to achieve that. I praise God that I was restored. Just like Paul, I thank God that I am doing his work today because he appointed me and strengthened me by his grace. Nothing to boast about. No matter how bad and messy your life is, God is interested in you.
If you are a reader of this devotional, you've been trying to please God, work for God and be useful for him in the flesh, surrender to his grace and you'll see God give meaning to your life. I know what it is to struggle with addictions and vices, the day you surrender to God and stop trying in the arms of flesh is the day your victory begins. Quit trying to please God in the flesh, subscribe to his grace alone.
Father, I quit the struggle in the flesh and I accept your grace that can make me better In Jesus name. Amen
