1Pet5:7 Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you. NLT
I learnt a song in primary school about anxiety. The song says: Why worry, when you can pray, trust Jesus he is your guide, don't be like doubting Thomas as foolish as his promise, why worry worry worry, when you can pray. Anxiety is a sign of doubt and our inability to trust God. Every time you worry, it is a reflection of your low level of faith.
Some of us are world champions in worrying. We worry about things that may not happen. Our imaginations are wild, instead of us to convert our energy into other productive activities like prayers, meditating on God's word, we sink into anxiety. If you can just believe God and hold him at his word, things would turn out for good. Let the word of be your meditation and not your circumstances.
It takes the same energy to meditate and worry, if you can worry, then you can meditate. We all have tendencies to be worried, when it comes, switch over to the word and pray about your fears. Don't let anxiety rob you of your shine, spiritual energy, beauty and sound health. The devil is not worth it.
Father, I refuse to sink into anxiety, I cast my cares and roll it over to you In Jesus name.
