2Tim1:8 So never be ashamed to tell others about our Lord... NLT
The line in one of our hymn says 'wonderful story of love, tell it to me again'. There is something wonderful about God's love to mankind especially when it is told. The good news is all about the love of God for man-kind and his salvation for the lost with the hope of eternity. Isn't that wonderful?
What story are you telling sinners? Some tell others about their pastor, some talk about the beauty and numbers in their church, some preach their church but not Christ our Lord. Apostle Paul was admonishing the believers of his day to spread the gospel of Christ and nothing else. The world hasn't seen or heard much about the love of Christ to the lost sinner. When sinners hear the good news about our Lord, they'll be compelled to respond.
A woman was preaching in the bus, she said that trouser wearing women trusting God for the fruit of the womb won't receive answers from the Lord because the angel sent to them would be seeing a man and not a woman. That's not the gospel of our Lord. In Romans5:8, we were told that Christ died for us while we were yet sinners, what a wonderful Christ!
This is what you should tell sinners, God is not fighting with them anymore, Christ has come to settle all debts. Glory!
CONFESSION: I receive the boldness to tell others about the goodnews, to preach Christ and him alone. To be a messenger of hope and joy In Jesus name.
