Hebrews2:1 So we must listen very carefully to the truth we have heard, or we may drift away from it. NLT
Some years ago, buying of books and tapes were re occurring expenses for me. I attended seminars and trainings, jotted key points that would be needed, I have a very robust sermon note that I treasured so much. When I was packing to a new apartment recently, I discovered that the number books and tapes I have were more than my clothes. I told myself that I may have to read those books again before buying new ones because I'm yet to pay full attention to the truths in those books and tapes.
There are truths I read several years ago that are still relevant today. Sometimes, we are rushing to learn new things whereas the old has been neglected. Paying attention to the truth should not be for a season but a continuous process. Go look for those old sermon notes and digest the truth therein again. Sometimes, you'll see people screaming and crying during a powerful message but it all ends there.
The truth you've learnt shouldn't be discarded. It is very easy to drift from the truth you once knew. There's a need for a truth check, ask yourself sincere questions to know if you're still on the path of the truth. Don't build a library for decoration, learn the truth and do the truth.
Father, I receive grace to pay full attention to the truth In Jesus name. Amen
