Luke:13:8 “The gardener answered, ‘Sir, give it one more chance. Leave it another year, and I’ll give it special attention and plenty of fertilizer. NLT
In Luke chapter 13, Jesus told his listeners about a man that planted figs in his vineyard, the fig tree was fruitless for three years. He comes to the farm with the expectation of plucking fruits from the tree but he was greeted with disappointment. He decided to cut the tree but the gardener begged for one more chance.
We are meant to bear fruit as believers; God has decided to plant us in his vineyard with the expectation of reaping eternal fruit from our lives. In time past, you may have failed God in several ways but the intercession of Jesus for you is the reason why God is considering another chance for you. If God has given you an assignment and you've failed to deliver, he may replace you but Jesus is telling the father to give you another chance.
Our God is the God of another chance, you never can tell if the next chance is your last or maybe you have more lifeline. As we abide in Christ, we shall continually bear much fruits(John15:5) but if we disconnect ourselves from the vine, we shall be fruitless and we risk being cut down. If you've failed God in time past, cry to him for another chance.
Father, in areas where I've failed you, in your mercy, give me another chance In Jesus name.
