1Thes2:6 As for human praise, we have never sought it from you or anyone else.
I read a post on facebook sometimes ago by a minister that was invited to preach in a church. A younger pastor in rank wanted to bring him on to the altar but because of the protocol in their church he had to call on the Senior Pastor to bring on the invited guest. He heaped a lot of praises on the Senior Pastor such that the invited guest even became uncomfortable and he couldn't rebuke his associate Pastor.
Some pastors love it when their associates and members praise them like God. Their members publicise them more than God. As a minister of the gospel, why are you doing what you are doing in your ministry? For men to see? When God heals or saves people through you, thank him in your secret place and give the glory to him and not where you want people to say 'thank you' or 'weldone'. Why are you posting those pics of your exploits on social media?
You know the flesh wants to hear 'thank you' and 'Weldone man of God'. The flesh wants to feel like a man that has arrived, the flesh wants to form a special sense of importance that is not. When your life is truly producing result, it would speak for itself without seeking cheap publicity. Herod's story comes to mind, when he made a great oratory and praise singers made him feel important and was caught up in pride, he was struck by God and worms broke out of his body.
Stop seeking the praise of men.
Father,I receive grace to stay humble under grace and not seek cheap praises of men In Jesus name.
