Rev3:15 " I know all the things you do, that you are neither hot nor cold. I wish that you were one or the other! (16) But since you are like lukewarm water, neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth. NLT
One of the seven churches in the book of revelations was warned against lukewarmness. To be spiritually lukewarm is to be neither hot nor cold, it is a state whereby we cannot easily decipher where a believer stands. It is a state of rising and falling always. A luke warm believer does not care about those things the Lord care about. Such a fellow may stand for Christ today and may not care about him tomorrow.
When you get to the point where you don't care about spiritual things anymore, you are lukewarm. Lukewarm people would eventually lose their place in the kingdom because God said he would spit them out of his mouth. What are those secret acts of devotion that stood you out before God in times past? When your spiritual temperature is low and not steadily hot, ejection may take place anytime.
