WILL MEN PRAISE GOD BECAUSE OF YOU?

June 07, 2023 · Lanre Oyeleke · 5 views

Galatians1:24 And they praised God because of me (NLT).

I read the obituary of a woman in the U.S. Her children stated categorically that they won't miss her because the world would be a better place without her.

That is sad. She abandoned them at an early age to marry their dad's brother. That memory lingered for long.

Sometimes ago, I was in a meeting where the preacher said, "we miss Archbishop Benson Idahosa in Nigeria".

Many years ago, a former head of state died in one of the African countries, the news of his death made the people to start singing and dancing on the street. People were so happy as If it was the devil that died. He was a brutal leader.

In another African country, when their leader died, they mourned and the citizens gave glory to God for sending them a leader that was selfless and people-centred.

When we remember you, two things are bound to happen, It is either we thank God because of you or we thank God for taking you away and not be missed. The choice is yours.

I noticed that most people lie in funerals. When we visit bereaved families and they tell us to write or say something about the deceased, our words are adulating but not sincere at all times.

I once saw an inscription saying, "Live a good life so that we won't lie in your funeral".

When I go home to be with the Lord, I want men to sincerely praise God because of me.

Your life is meant to be impactful and not to be a burden. You are meant to touch lives positively to a point where people would be praying for you not to die.

If the world around you doesn't praise God and miss you after your demise, your stay on earth has many unanswered questions.

The only way to start leaving indelible marks in the heart of men is to find your purpose and start fulfilling it.

Walking the path of purpose is what will make men thank God because of you. Failure to do so, you will not be missed.

Action point

Father, let my life be impactful In Jesus name.
