Ex 34:34-35 But whenever he went into the Tent of Meeting to speak with the Lord , he would remove the veil until he came out again. Then he would give the people whatever instructions the Lord had given him, and the people of Israel would see the radiant glow of his face. So he would put the veil over his face until he returned to speak with the Lord( NLT).
I was on the mountain to pray years back. One of the ministers gave a word of caution about extreme things some people do when seeking for God's power.
He said some would pray looking up to the shinning sun because they want power. That's extreme. It is good we understand how spiritual things work.
There is so much prayer going on among charismatics for power. Some go as far doing strenuous things to show how serious they are for God's power.
Having read the history of several men mightily used by God, I observed a number of them were men who loved to stay in the place of prayer for long. Their prayers wasn't about power as we may think. They were just fellowshiping.
As a believer that is baptized in the Spirit, the power of God is in you already. However, that power will be released from within your regenerated spirit as you dwell in God's presence.
The more you stay in God's presence, the more the release of power from within your spirit.
I learnt a vital lesson from Moses in that regard. We were told that whenever he enters God's presence, the glory of the Lord will envelope him and his face will become radiant.
He didn't go into God's presence to ask for a radiant face. He simply went to God to fellowship and commune with him.
Power is one of the additions you'll get as you stay in God's presence. It is only a man that tarry at wine that gets intoxicated.
If you stay long in a room where perfume is produced or sprayed constantly, when you step out of that room, the fragrance of that perfume will smell on your body and people will perceive it.
Your intention of entering the room might be to see how it is produced but coming into that atmosphere where the fragrance of the perfume is sprayed, the fragrance rubs on you.
That's the way it is with God's power. Do not forget that the power of God is in you already when you received the baptism of the Spirit(Acts1:8).
Actually, what happens as you stay in God's presence is that the power locked up in your spirit would be released.
Your desire should be to dwell in his presence more. That's how to launch into the realm of the supernatural.
Father, I receive the grace to dwell in your presence in Jesus name.
