Isa43:25, "I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins".
Recently in a small group teaching session I had, I told the brethren about Satan's trick of weakening the believer's faith.
Over the years, I realized accusation is his major weakening tool. He accuses us about our short-comings and brings to our rememberance what God has forgiven and forgotten.
The person under Satan's accusation will live in guilt and doubt God's redeeming power to save, forgive and forget. Sometimes, guilt feelings arising from Satanic accusations can lead to depression.
Psychiatry homes are filled with depressed people whose mental problem arose from guilt feelings and Satanic accusation.
Do you know that God forgets repented&blood washed sins? Yes, He does because the word said so.
“Come now, let’s settle this,” says the Lord. “Though your sins are like scarlet, I will make them as white as snow. Though they are red like crimson, I will make them as white as wool ( Isaiah 1:18 NLT).
We commit to our memories past errors&mistakes because religion has taught us to do so. Sometimes, we re-confess a sin that God has forgiven thinking He may choose to forgive one and hold on to the other.
This is what God has to say in his word, “I—yes, I alone—will blot out your sins for my own sake and will never think of them again"(Isaiah 43:25 NLT).
If these scriptures shared are not convincing, read this: "And I will forgive their wickedness, and I will never again remember their sins" (Hebrews 8:12 NLT)
If God does not remember the sins he has forgiven why commit such to memories?
Many times, we are wrongly taught especially on issues about forgiveness. So many still swim in sin because someone told them they can't be forgiven anymore, so they decided to continue sinning because they feel mercy has eluded them.
Another reason hell will be so hot is because men decided not to take advantage of the loving side of God which is remission of sins.
Whether your sins are big or small, the blood of Jesus is potent to wash them. God is saying to you today that you should go and sin no more.
Father, thank you for the blood of Jesus Christ.
