Isaiah1:19 If you will only obey me, you will have plenty to eat ( NLT)
OBEDIENCE TO INSTRUCTIONS
The word of God came alive more to me during COVID-19 lockdown.
Severally, I have shared the story on how God provided for me and my family during that period. I entered the lockdown with less than N20,000 in my account.
From the little I had, the Spirit of God prompted me to give people from that little I had on me. As instructed, I wrote an e-book, sold it and used the proceeds to give missionaries and the needy palliatives.
I obeyed. We realized almost a million naira yet I didn't take from it for personal use though we had pressing needs in the family especially feeding.
Miraculously, God sent adequate supplies all through that period and even beyond the lockdown. It was a miracle.
In my few years of walking with God, I discovered that everything has its own place and uses. As good as prayer and fasting is, it cannot substitute for obedience to simple instructions.
Many rush to programmes where they promise prosperity and cash flow after but not many experience those things.
Some have sown seeds so that the rain of abundance can fall on them yet nothing of such happened in their lives.
God work with principles, most of the things we desire are tied to obeying simple instructions, that's all.
The secret of plenty is to live in constant obedience to divine instructions.
Today, God is saying He has seen your tears in prayer, your fasting is legendary, your kingdom service is second to none but just obey that instruction that looks foolish.
There are people that have disobeyed God's call into ministry because they are afraid of hunger.
Despite the fact that they are working, the fruit of their labour isn't showing. They still run into huge debts because there is a pending instruction yet to be obeyed.
The fear of the outcome of your obedience to God shouldn't stop you from taking the step that will launch you into God's will for your life.
When God told Abraham to leave his kindred, he didn't know where God was taking him to but as an act of faith, he obeyed.
The secret of plenty (even in recession) is obedience. We all need to learn from the widow of Zarephath, her obedience to divine instruction from God's servant made the difference for throughout the famine (1Kings17:7-16).
What are the pending instructions yet to be obeyed?
HAPPY NEW MONTH!
