PURPOSE DISCOVERY DIMENSIONS Pt.2

"WHERE"- THE QUESTION OF LOCATION

The story of Jonah illustrates today's devotional properly. God sent Jonah to Nineveh but he decided to go to Tarshish. The assignment of God for his life was to find full expression in Nineveh but he re routed to another location.

The question of "Where" is important after discovering the "What" of our purpose in life. While "What" is a question of assignment or purpose, "Where" is a question of location for the fulfilment of the assigment.

Jesus is the lamb of God that was slain from the foundation of the world. He was destined to die for the sins of mankind. To achieve this purpose, he needed to come to the earth not planet mars or jupiter. If he had gone to another planet, he would have missed the location for his assignment.

Paul was an apostle sent to the Gentiles. If he had focused his apostolic ministry on the Jews, he may have missed out on the will of God for his life. He could have preached the right message based on the revelation he had but to the wrong people.

Paul said, "For the same God who worked through Peter as the apostle to the Jews also worked through me as the apostle to the Gentiles"(Galatians 2:8 NLT).

Every divine assigment has a "Where" for its execution. Some have truly discovered the "What" of their assignment but they are in the wrong location. Why some persons are ineffective is because they are doing the right thing in the wrong place.

As a man that want to fulfill God's purpose on earth, your location is as important as the assignment itself. You don't pack your bags and relocate to where God has not sent you.

A man on purpose doesn't live with a hustler's mentality. A hustler is seeking for opportuinities here and there not minding if it is the will of God. Some have lost their ministries and assignment to this indiscretion thinking they can execute their assignment from anywhere.

You can only execute your purpose where God has destined for you not anywhere on earth. The man on purpose doesn't seek for the proverbial greener pastures at the expense of his assignment.

Those who understand the nature of God's purpose knows there is no other pasture that is greener than where God plant you. It may be tough and rough but he has a place where your table is prepared.

Before packing your bags, check with God to be sure your next location is the land for the fulfillment of your destiny. While man thinks more about getting comfort, God thinks more about you being in His will then every other thing follows.
