PLATFORM FOR A BETTER FUTURE(A)
There was an aged woman from a royal family whose parent did not send to school. In her days, only slaves were sent to school, the princes and princesses would stay in the palace enjoying the goodies of royalty. Later, the generation of slaves that went to school became important persons in the society while the princes and princesses became a nobody. Through ignorance, they gave slaves the platform for a better future.
One of your biblical duties as a parent is to provide a platform for a better future for your children. One of such platforms is good education. I need not stress much on this because there are schools almost everywhere. However, my emphasis is on giving your children relevant education. I used the word 'relevant' because every child must be educated not just for schooling sake but for destiny sake. We must start encouraging children to acquire the right education along the line of their gifting and potential.
Aside the conventional education, there is no crime in allowing your children get some informal education through apprenticeship in their area of interest. The world is going the way of solution providers not just men with bogus titles and certificates who speaks grammar without anything to show for it. Good education solves problems. Aside training your child(ren) in the way of the Lord, good education is another legacy you can leave for them.
