John11:25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. 26 And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?”
When Lazarus died in John11:17-44, Martha, the sister of Lazarus was worried about the lateness of Jesus to the place where the corpse of Lazarus was. She told Jesus that if he had come earlier, Lazarus wouldn't have died. Jesus replied her that Lazarus would rise again. She said she believed that he would rise but on the resurrection day. You see, her understanding about resurrection was that resurrection is an event that would happen on a day. That is true but Jesus gave her a deeper dimension of what resurrection was about.
Jesus spoke clearly to her without mincing words. He said: I AM THE RESURRECTION AND THE LIFE. There is no resurrection apart from Christ, and there is no eternal life apart from Christ. Beyond that, Jesus was also making a statement concerning His divine nature. Resurrection is beyond an event, IT IS A PERSON- JESUS. Halleluyah! Once you have Christ in you, resurrection is in you already, the power of eternal death is broken over your life, 1Cor15:53-57. We are not just longing for the event or a day of resurrection but we have it in us already. So we are sure that if we die in Christ, we shall resurrect on the last day when the trumpet sounds because we are carriers of resurrection.
Apostle Paul in Romans8:11 told us that if the Spirit that raised Christ from the dead dwell in us, that Spirit shall vitalise our mortal bodies. What is he saying? Resurrection is backed by the power of the Holy Spirit and as long as that Spirit is in us, we'll be partakers of the power of resurrection even in our mortal bodies. Halleluyah!The victory over sin, sickness and satan is embedded in that resurrection power and it is in you already. You can take advantage of all that is in the resurrection( CHRIST) even before the event.
CONFESSION: Resurrection is in me and that is Christ. I walk in the fullness of Christ's resurrection power for my life. I walk in the reality of this truth, no good thing is permitted to die around me In Jesus name.
