There are several conspiracy theories against the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. Some said he did not die in the first place, they said that he only fainted and was resuscitated. With that assertion, they did not acknowledge his death, burial and resurrection. They failed to dig history books and make findings from Israel. Till date, the evidences of his death and resurrection abound. For those of us in the Spirit, we don't need special evidences because Christ is real to us through the word of God and we have come to accept him by faith.
Apostle Paul is making a crucial point in the opening text i want us to focus on. He is saying that if Christ had not risen from among the dead as the scripture says, then there won't be anything called Christianity in the first place. In fact, if Christ had not risen, there wouldn't have been the hope of heaven for anyone. Above all, the promised Holy Spirit wouldn't have come. Man would have totally been miserable if Jesus Christ had not risen but thanks be to God, Christ rose from the dead and he gave us victory.
The beauty of Christ's death is not really in the death alone but in the resurrection. The resurrection is a sign of eternal victory over sin, sickness and death. If the devil had known that Christ would deal with him ruthlessly, he wouldn't have allowed him to die on the cross. The knowledge about Christ's resurrection should make you jump, shout and burst forth in thanksgiving daily because without it, there wouldn't have been the hope of heaven for you. Halleluyah! Christ resurrected from the dark domain and he lives forever so that we can reign with him eternally.
