*YOU MAY NOT UNDERSTAND NOW BUT YOU'LL THANK HIM LATER*

Romans 8:28 *"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose*".

I read the true life story of a war veteran who fought to defend his country in a civil war. During the war, his military success earned him some accolades from one of  the kings who gave him a landed property. Another chief did same.

Though the war was ongoing at the time his exploits gained recognition,  his head of state sent for him to meet him at the barrack.  He thought his boss wanted to give him a medal for his achievement. When he saw his boss, he saluted according to the military tradition hitting his foot on the ground in such a way that affected his spine.

The next thing his boss said was "take him away". He saluted again thinking his boss had a good plan for him. Surprisingly, he was taken to the maximum prison. He asked to know what he did wrong but no one gave him a convincing answer.

When he got into the prison, he was angry at everyone and he caused a scene there. The prison official told him, "war is going on in town, soldiers are losing their lives, you don't know If God brought you here to preserve you"( paraphrase). He was still enraged at the whole situation.

During the prison fellowship, the preacher told all of them, "God brought you here for a reason". One of them protested, "I was not guilty of the offense they charged me for, how could God have brought me here?". This military officer said something similar.

Fifteen days after, the military head of state asked after him and they told him he was in prison. He quickly ordered his release and sent him to the war front. It was when they released him that he discovered that some soldiers were plotting to kill him but his imprisonment foiled their plans.

Also, while in prison, his troops drowned in a river and none made it alive. If he was there, he could have lost his life but God used the imprisonment to shield his life. Then, he remembered what the prison official and preacher said.

Oftentimes, Satan will launch an attack and still make us see God in a bad light for what God is not guilty of. He makes us to start questioning God yet God knows why he allowed us to pass through that ordeal. Sometimes, we have answers and at other times, we don't have answers but God knows best and we'll understand it bye and bye.

What are you going through right now? Very soon, you will look back and thank the Lord later for allowing you pass through that season of trial. I see you testifying soon.

Action Point:

*"For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all*"( 2 Cor 4:17 NIV).
