In the gospel, the message of glorification is inclusive. It is a thing of joy to know that our father has prepared a home for us after our sojourn here on earth. It is not something to doubt because it is real and confirmed by Christ himself.
John 14:3 says, "When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am" (NIV).
This is good news. Christ promised to prepare a place for every of his children and he promised to return to come take us there. This is assuring. This kind of phenomenon cannot be found in any religion. While they all have a concept of heaven, they are not sure whether they'll get there.
They are heavy laden with works that cannot guarantee salvation nor forgiveness of sins. What grace has given us, they want to get it by works. Sometimes, I wonder why men abandon the easy way and prefer the hard way. Yet, with all their rituals, they are not sure of heaven.
The case is different with us believers in Christ. Paul says, "BUT WE ARE CITIZENS of heaven, where the Lord Jesus Christ lives. And we are eagerly waiting for him to return as our Savior" (Phil 3:20 NLT). This is a statement of fact and it is true for every child of God who abide in Christ till the end.
As long as a believer abide in Christ till the end, his heavenly citizenship remains intact. For those outside Christ, eternal bliss is not in-view because a vital link is missing- Christ. That is why the gospel message is an invitation to Christ not to religion or denomination. The major factor in this matter is Christ.
Colossians 1:27 says, "To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is CHRIST IN YOU, THE HOPE OF GLORY" (NIV)
Halleluyah!!! There is a hope of glory in eternity for me and everyone who abides in Christ. Heaven is my final home not hell. This is the lot of every child of God who abides in Christ till the end. I have been declared a citizen of heaven by the blood and redeemed from the wrath to come because someone paid the price.
1 Thessalonians 1:10 says, "and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, EVEN JESUS, WHICH DELIVERED US FROM THE WRATH TO COME".
This is good news.
