Whenever I stand to declare the gospel, I always ensure to pray for the sick. In almost all my programmes, I see result along this line. There are tags I don't call myself. For instance, some are called healing minister, deliverance minister, etc. I am simply a preacher of the gospel. Anywhere the gospel is preached, the power of God for healing, miracles and deliverance is released.
What some fail to realize is that salvation, healing and deliverance is same coin with different sides. The power that saves sinners is the power that heals and deliver. If you can win souls, you can also heal the sick by the same power that saves. You don't need to feel like it, the word says so.
Matthew 10:[7] says, "And as you go, preach this message: ‘Heaven’s kingdom realm is accessible, close enough to touch.’ [8] You must continually bring healing to lepers and to those who are sick, and make it your habit to break off the demonic presence from people, and raise the dead back to life. Freely you have received the power of the kingdom, so freely release it to others"( TPT).
People try to classify God's power. They call one saving power and another is called healing power or miracle power. Well, I don't think all that is necessary. The power that saves can heal, deliver and perform miracles. God is God, no need to classify him. His power is his power.
I will not forget a lady who walked into one of our crusade ground with a walking stick. I saw her but I did not minister to her personally. I preached and prayed for the people. Days after, she stepped out to testify about God's healing power that made her drop her stick. Everyone was amazed.
In several places in scriptures where Jesus preached the gospel, healing and deliverance followed. They are just inseparable. Somehow, the presence and power of the Spirit for exploits is always available for those who decide to launch out into the harvest field.
You may not realize the enormous power that is in the gospel when it is preached. Just preach it and you'll see God's power flow through you. Don't wait for healing power to fall on you before praying for the sick. Just as you have been mandated to preach the gospel, you have been mandate to heal the sick as well.
Mark 16:15, 17-18 says, [15] And then he told them, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone. [17] These miraculous signs will accompany those who believe: They will cast out demons in my name...[18] ... They will be able to place their hands on the sick, and they will be healed.” (NLT).
As you go preaching the gospel, don't forget to heal the sick.
