Recently, I watched the replay of 2012 UEFA Champions league final. My team got to the finals and won. As I watched the match, I was not under pressure to see a winner emerge like I would during a live match because I watched the match when it was played live and I knew how it ended. While watching the replay, if a player gets close to my team's box, I was at rest because when the match was played live years back, I knew he didn't score.
No matter what you maybe facing right now, the victory over that battle had been won already even before facing the battle. The real battle was fought and won on the cross, what you're seeing now is only a replay, we know the result already. Apostle Paul said, "In this way, he disarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by his victory over them on the cross" (Col 2:15 NLT). Hallelujah!!! Nobody places a bet or becomes uneasy about a match that has been played because the result is settled.
You don't see people in football viewing centres argue or sit to watch old matches. Don't dwell on a battle that has been won on the cross. God had already declared the victory long ago. In the kingdom, we fight our warfare from the standpoint of faith. Faith warfare entails believing in what has been done by the captain of our salvation and declaring our victory consistently until result is achieved. In this warfare, what you believe and what you say matter. Don't kill yourself over a match that has been played, you have the result already.
CONFESSION: Father, I thank you because Christ has won the victory for me. I stand in the finished work of Christ on the cross and I declare an end to (...insert the challenge) in the name of Jesus.
