In the past few years, I have observed a negative trend among some believers especially the young, vibrant and zealous youths who claimed to have seen the light. They are claiming to be reformers like Martin Luther. Their stock-in-trade is to pick a preacher, put his name on social media and say all sorts of things against him. Some go as far as tagging some preachers thieves.That's a weighty allegation. Some of them caught little knowledge of scriptures( though some are fraught with errors) and they decided to tear down and start cursing the fathers.
A careful look at these set of young people, I observed that they are acting under the influence of some teachers. Some are seeking popularity. A wise man said, "you don't build your house by pulling down the house of your neighbour". In church history, reformation was not about attacking persons but challenging the doctrines that were not scriptural. Be warned, do not join people to speak evil or to attack a preacher especially if he is called of God. What you cannot say to your biological father, do not say to that preacher. A preacher may not be accurate in his understanding of certain things in the bible but that doesn't mean he is not called of God.
Till Christ comes, we would not agree on everything. If you're called into the ministry, don't make a name for yourself by tearing others down. Ministry built on such foundation won't last. I want us to be clothed with the attitude of David. When Saul failed God and was all out to kill him, he had the opportunity to strike him dead, "He said to his men, "The LORD forbid that I should do such a thing to my master, the LORD's anointed, or lay my hand on him; for he is the anointed of the LORD" (1 Sam24:6). In the backslidden state of Saul, David recognized him as his master and that he was the Lord's anointed. That surprised me. Honour is reciprocal. If you don't sow it as a seed, you won't harvest it.
Father, I receive the grace to tread the path of honour in Jesus name.
