Proverbs11:3 The integrity of the upright guides them, but the unfaithful are destroyed by their duplicity. NIV

TEST OF INTEGRITY

A C.E.O. called his executives and sons to a meeting. He told them about his imminent retirement. However, he told them that he needed to choose a successor among them but on the condition that they all take maize seed home for planting. He promised them that he would choose a successor when they all return with harvest. They hurriedly collected the seed from him and they all dashed home to plant the seed. After some months, most of them met to discuss how their maize was growing. They had good reports to share among one another except one man. He tried his best to grow the maize seed but nothing happened.

After several months, the C.E.O.called everyone that collected maize seed to come display their harvest. Some came with bags of maize, others hired carriers to help with the harvest except one man. The C.E.O.walked up to him asking why he had no harvest. He responded by saying, "the seed refused to grow". Then the C.EO.announced to those present in that meeting that the man whose seed did not grow would be his successor. Everyone was amazed. He said, "I gave everyone boiled seed. It is impossible for boiled seed to grow because boiling makes seed dormant. This is the only honest man among you". They all failed the test of integrity except one man. Oxford dictionary defines integrity as the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles.

Before divine promotion comes, you must pass the test of integrity. There is a limit to how far any man can go in destiny without integrity. If a man lack integrity, he won't be recommended for greater opportunities. Life could have been better for some people but lack of integrity kept them on the same spot. No matter the time you spend in the place of prayer&fasting, God won't promote you to the next level without passing this test. Integrity is a precursor to dignity in the kingdom. God is watching you daily to see how honest you are with that money kept in your care. David passed the integrity test and it was said of him that he shepherded the Israelites with integrity of heart(Psalms78:72). We may not know why God chose him when his brothers were paraded before Samuel but now we can see why he was preferred- integrity. Stop failing the test of integrity because of little comprise. Dishonest gain may be sweet but it is temporal. When God is looking for men of integrity to enthrone in places that matter, may you not be found wanting.

Action point

Father, may I not fail the test of integrity in Jesus name.
