TEST OF PURITY
Do I need to tell you that Joseph's stand on sexual purity was tested? You know the story but you may not see the scenario that played out between him and Mrs Potiphar as a test. Yes it, was. Mrs Potiphar had him in mind and she sought for a good time to get him. Finally, the day came but Joseph passed. If He had failed at that point, his enthronement would have remained in his dreams. He would be enjoying the pleaures of sin with Mrs Potiphar and he may die as an exalted slave who may have received special favours and treat from Madam but he'll remain a slave.
Do not misunderstand this scenario to think that Joseph put himself in a tempting situation. No, it wasn't so. It was in the course of discharging his normal duties the temptation came. Sexual temptation is common to men or women of destiny. I doubt if any man or woman going somewhere in life would not face sexual temptation. Before God would place you in the next level you're desiring, you must pass the test of sexual purity. If your erection still determines your direction, you're not fit for promotion. God is looking for men he can entrust with great things.
If your relationship with the opposite sex is not pure now that you're unsung, what will happen when you get to the top and you become popular? Hope you know that greatness attracts attracts women? God doesn't want you to damage yourself when you get to the top. He may have delayed your promotion to that next level of power, anointing and grace you've been praying for so that you can deal with that moral frailty now. "For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication: That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour" (1 Thess 4:3-4 KJV). Where Samson failed, Joseph succeeded. Do not halt your progress because of one minute of pleasure.
Father,I receive the grace to stay sexually pure in Jesus name.
