DON'T MOCK ME, TABLES ALWAYS TURN

May 16, 2020 · Lanre Oyeleke · 2 views

Psalms22:7-8 Everyone who sees me mocks me. They sneer and shake their heads, saying, “Is this the one who relies on the Lord ? Then let the Lord save him! If the Lord loves him so much, let the Lord rescue him!” NLT

I have a big aunt. We lived together in my hometown for sometime. One thing I can say assuredly about her is that she lived a chaste life as a single and she was devoted to the Lord. After her marriage, she waited on the Lord for over two decades for the fruit of the womb. When she shared her testimony, she made mention of an incident where a woman spoke mockingly to her. That brought tears to her eyes but God proved his faithfulness. Today, the table has turned.

There comes a time when it seems God is silent about our case. You'll see people coming to church giving testimonies about the same miracle you're expecting and you may be tempted to ask, "when will my time come"? At other times, you'll hear people making reference to your type of predicament while thanking God. Hey! Have you been there before? The worst is when they mock you by speaking directly to your face. Job was there, and he said: “And now they mock me with vulgar songs! They taunt me!*" (Job 30:9 NLT).

Dearest, stop crying. God specializes in turning tables. Do not let the mockery of mockers get into your innermost being. The devil will always remind you of unfair words spoken to you so that you can be bitter. Once he achieves that, you'll be hindering your miracle. I want to stir up hope in you today. Those that have mocked you shall return to rejoice with you. Your testimony shall sound like this: "When the Lord turned again the captivity of Zion( insert your name), we were like them that dream"(Psalms126:1).Today, I want you to rise and speak the words of Prophet Micah: 'Do not gloat over me, my enemy! Though I have fallen, I will rise. Though I sit in darkness, the Lord will be my light"(Micah 7:8). Hallelujah!!!

Action point

CONFESSION: I refuse to allow mockery affect my faith. I will wait till my change comes and all my mockers shall see the goodness of God in my life. Devil, stop your dirty tricks in my life. I shall testify soon in Jesus name.
