TALK BACK TO THE DEVIL

May 03, 2020 · Lanre Oyeleke · 2 views

Mark 11:23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. KJV

Sometimes, some of the challenges we face with negative thoughts, depression, guilt, rejection and internal turbulence are as a result of the voices that speak to us. Sometimes, we hear demons telling us things that worsen our feelings. One of the reasons why some sink deeper into depression is because there is a voice speaking loudly in their hearts that people around them may not be hearing.

The same goes with guilt feelings. It is accompanied by hearing a voice. You may find yourself in a situation where it seems all hope is lost. You feel that way because you have listened to that old deceiver that deceived Eve in the garden of Eden. Just know that anything you hear from him is a lie. "Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it" (John 8:44 KJV).

You need to talk back to the devil and call him a liar. Whenever he comes telling you what God did not say about you in his word, speak back and declare the words of God. Our warfare against the enemy involves talking back. We must consciously call the devil a liar and refute his claims. Even when Satan presented his accusation against Joshua in the court of heaven, the Lord said, "The LORD rebuke thee".God set the precedence of speaking against the devil, you should follow in his footsteps. This is not the time to keep silent against the enemy. Talk back.

Action point

CONFESSION: Father, thank you for giving me a mouth that can speak. I reject what the enemy is telling me about my ministry, finances, marriage, career, health and finances. I am not going down. I may have gone through the dark nights of pains, depression, false guilt, rejection, frustration but it is the dawn of a new day for me. I walk right into the fullness of God's plan for my life in Jesus name.
