THAT CHOIR RENDITION IN I.U.O.

April 07, 2016 · Lanre Oyeleke · 2 views

Hebrews3:14 For if we are faithful to the end, trusting God just as firmly as when we first believed, we will share in all that belongs to Christ. NLT

Back in the days when I was in school, we sang a song which says 'Lord I will, stand until, till(2x) you come for me. Inspite of my condition, inspite of my tribulation, I'll stand until, you come for me'. After that rendition, the brother who led the song became sober and he said to me 'not everyone standing now will stand till the end'. That word hit me like a cricket ball.

Truly, not everyone standing now will stand till the end. Judas started well with Christ but didn't end well with Christ, Saul started well but didn't end well. The writer of Hebrews said that it is only if we are faithful till the end just like when we first believed, that is when we shall share in the riches that belongs to Christ- referring to our heavenly home.

How did you start your Christian race? Starters don't get reward but finishers do. It is only those that finish well and strong that shall reign with Christ. Heaven is for overcomers not for losers. We need to trust God for grace to keep us on the narrow path as the day draw nigh. Faithfulness till the end is it.

Action point

Father, I receive grace to be faithful till the end In Jesus name. Amen
