Hebrews13:5 Don’t love money; be satisfied with what you have. For God has said,
“I will never fail you.
I will never abandon you.” NLT
I have read severally about people who deal in drugs. The motivation behind drug peddling is simply the love of money. When the bible talks about the love of money, what the scripture is trying to say is that we shouldn't be covetous. In the literal sense of the word 'love', there is no man on earth that doesn't love money.
Translation inadequacy is what rendered that word as love. When you get to the point where you can do anything illegal to make money, it is evident that you are a covetous fellow. The motive behind certain actions can tell us the reason why you decided to take that action. It is possible to start a ministry because you want to make 'free' money, it is possible to enter a relationship because of money.
The trouble we have amongst our political class today is not because they love the citizenry but simply because of the monetary benefits that will accrue to their pocket. God said we should be satisfied with what we have, if we trust him per time, he'll meet our needs and come through for us. Coveting money is one of the quick ways the devil ruin destinies, run from it.
Father, I receive grace to serve you and never to be a slave to money In Jesus name.
